I loved Obamas campaign logo, it was strong, elegant and so damn different from what we are used to seeing from candidates in presidential races. And it works, it really works.  One of my favorite blogs LogodesignLove had a great writeup with pictures of the logos that did not make the cut from the design team. There are some interesting ideas so I wanted to share them here. Also included are clips from Sol Sender who is now at VSA (man those offices look sweet).

The runner-ups

I really like the red and blue “08″ logo. The blending on the colors blending is a clever idea but the winner definitely stands head and shoulders above the rest to me.
